Bristol Man Facing Charges in Farmington

The 19-year-old was arrested after he reported being a victim of a strong arm robbery.

A 19-year-old Bristol man is facing several charges after being arrested in Farmington.

Lance L. Mitchell, of 502 South St., was arrested after he reported being a victim of a strong arm robbery. He claimed he met an acquiantance to be paid back some money owed to him.

An investigation revealed that he met the other individual to buy marijuana, and he gave the male the money for an agreed upon amount of marijuana and the male then fled the area without providing the marijuana to Mitchell.

Mitchell then called 911 and claimed to have been forcibly robbed of his money.

He was charged with second-degree falsely reporting an incident, interfering with an officer, misuse of plate, operating without a license, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, no insurance, and use or possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia in connection with less than one-half ounce cannabis-type substance.

Mitchell was released on a $5,000 bond and is due in court on Aug. 11.
