Debbie Vitale Named to "Dream Team"

Debbie Vitale, a Unionville resident, has been chosen as a member of the LearnZillion “Dream Team” and will receive an all-expenses paid trip to San Francisco in May to attend a professional development conference known as TeachFest. Ms. Vitale, a mathematics coach for Bristol Public Schools, was selected from over 3,000 applicants nationwide to participate along with 199 other educators from 41 states across the nation. As a member of the “dream team,” Ms. Vitale will work with other mathematics teachers around the nation to create high-quality, conceptual lessons aligned to the Common Core State Standards. Partially funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates foundation, the mission of LearnZillion is to provide free, online lessons, resources and assessments for students, parents and teachers to aid in their understanding of the content in the Common Core State Standards.
