"The Trunk Show is a Farmington-based boutique with a rotating selection of womenswear brands not available anywhere else in the state. From travel-friendly suits to stylish separates to glamorous evening wear, The Trunk Show offers customized clothing and gifts that are made for the modern woman.
With labels that are mostly fashioned in the United States, The Trunk Show features a variety of new and upcoming designers alongside cult classics that are quietly coveted by women in the know. Our goal is to give people the opportunity to discover something new that will become a closet staple that they can enjoy for years to come.
The Trunk Show offers women the opportunity to reconnect with themselves in a welcoming environment with first-class service and an exquisite selection for day or night. One-on-one appointments are encouraged for complete, personalized service and clothes are often made to order."
Here's what a nominee had to offer:
- "This business was only open for four months before the pandemic hit. It's a women's boutique so we quickly had to shift online in order to service customers. Kathy Jannuzzi, the store owner, began opening the store for COVID-safe one-on-one appointments, doing clothing and gift drop offs, and working with other local businesses to "Pay It Forward Farmington" encouraging local businesses to buy from one another. During the pandemic, the store has also raised money for Hartford Hospital's Mobile Mammography Unit and made a sizeable new clothing donation to Dress for Success Hartford." — Chelsea O'Donnell
