Farmington's Andrews Benefits Purchased By Virginia Company
A Farmington-based company has merged with a Virginia firm.

FARMINGTON, CT — The Hilb Group, LLC announced Wednesday that it has acquired Farmington -based Andrews Benefits, LLC.
The value of the transaction, which closed in on Feb. 15, was not disclosed.
AB is an employee benefits agency that provides "unique strategies and long-term solutions for clients in a variety of industries."

As a part of the transaction, Christine and Peter Andrews and their team will join the Hilb New England region.
"We are excited to be a part of THG's vision and focus," Christine Andrews said. "Through TGH, we will be able to collaborate on benefits opportunities and provide more robust service offerings to our clients."

THG is a property and casualty and employee benefits insurance brokerage and advisory firm headquartered in Richmond, VA. THG is a portfolio company of The Carlyle Group, a global investment firm.
According to a company profile THG "seeks to grow through strategic acquisitions and by leveraging its resources and expertise to drive organic growth in its acquired agencies."
The company has completed more than 100 acquisitions and now has more than 100 offices in 20 states.
