Florida-based businessman Casey Askar and the Askar Group purchased the estate for $2.9 million in April, 2019. That's about half the most recent asking price of $4.995 million.

It had been on the market for some time and the list price was $18.5 million in 2007. Curtis James Jackson III, 50 Cent himself, once lamented over maintenance costs he said were about $67,000 per month and annual taxes totaling $120,000.

One agent familiar with the home said that Askar wanted to bring a family and business atmosphere to the property.
