I-84 Reopened After Wrong-Way Crash

Three people were injured in the crash, police said.

PLAINVILLE, CT — I-84 westbound was reopened Sunday morning after a wrong-way two-car crash that occurred before 5 a.m. The highway was closed for several hours in the morning

A Toyota Highlander was traveling in the center lane when it was struck head-on by an Audi Q7 that was driving the wrong way, State police said.

The drivers of both vehicles sustained minor injuries, but a passenger in the Highlander sustained serious injuries, police said.
