FARMINGTON, CT — Extensive renovations on the former Apricots Restaurant on Route 4 are nearly complete, and the Wood-n-Tap chain has slated an early October opening date at its new location.
The popular restaurant's current site at 1274 Farmington Ave., at the corner of Brickyard Road, is scheduled to close late this month, and restaurant officials are planning to officially open in the renovated building at 1593 Farmington Avenue, across from Farmington High School, on Oct. 9.
Prior to the opening, a special benefit event will be held in two sessions on Oct. 5. The first session runs from 4 to 7 p.m., at $35 per person, and the second block, from 8 to 11 p.m., costs $40 per person. Proceeds will be donated to Project Graduation at the high school.
