Pair Charged After Farmington Altercation
Two men were charged after a disturbance in Farmington, police said.

FARMINGTON, CT — A weekend disturbance in Farmington left a pair of men with charges, police said.
Details of the Aug. 19 incident were released Monday. Police said the altercation was domestic in nature. It took place at 2:20 a.m., according to a report.
Cruz Pacheco, 22, of New Britain, was charged with second-degree assault, first-degree strangulation, first-degree strangulation, violation of a protective order, unlawful restraint and disorderly conduct.

His initial bond of $50,000 was dropped to to $10,000 at a court appearance later that day, but he failed to post it, judicial system records show. He was to be back before a judge Monday.
Also that day, at 6:36 a.m., Alexis Martinez, 31, was charged at UConn Health/John Dempsey Hospital with two counts of violating a protective order in relation to the case. His initial $25,000 bond was increased to $30,000 at a Aug. 19 court appearance and he is due back in court on Sept. 16, court records show.
