Police Dog Ozzy Joins Farmington Force

The Farmington Police Department announced Tuesday that K-9 Ozzy has been partnered with Officer Kyle Mortensen.

FARMINGTON, CT — The Farmington Police Department announced Tuesday that K-9 Ozzy has been partnered with Officer Kyle Mortensen as the Department’s new canine team.

Officer Mortensen has been a police dog handler since 2014 and will begin formally training Ozzy on Sept. 21. In the meantime, Officer Mortensen will be working with Ozzy on basic training and obedience.

Officer Mortensen's previous partner, Ryker, is doing well and enjoying retirement, police officials said.
