Police: Man Assaults Woman Who Had Stopped for Police

The 55-year-old man is now facing several charges after the Farmington incident.

Two Bristol residents are now facing charges after an incident on Friday night.

Josesph Guimond, 55, of 53 Hiltbrand Rd., was arrested after police say he punched a woman through an open car window. He allegedly thought the woman was stopped and blocking the road for no reason when in reality she was stopped at the direction of a police officer working a traffic detail following a local carnival.

Guimond was charged with two counts of risk of injury to a minor, third-degree assault, second-degree breach of peace, and refusal to be fingerprinted.

He was released on bond.

In addition, Paula Kalentkowski, 52, of the same address, was arrested after her intoxicated ex-husband got out of her vehicle and punched an unknown woman in the face through an open car window.

The investigation revealed she was intoxicated while driving her vehicle. She was charged with operating under the influence.

She was released on bond.
