Relay For Life Farmington Valley Kickoff Gets Relayers Ready for Season

Relay For Life of Farmington Valley held its kickoff celebration Tuesday.

Relay kickoffs celebrate the accomplishments of the previous season and rally people for the current season.

Farmington Valley’s relay was the 42nd top relay nationwide for fundraising in 2014.There were nearly 1,500 participants across 136 teams that raised $325,000. There are more than 5,200 relay events nationwide.

Over the past five years Farmington Valley Relay has raised nearly $1.5 million.
