Renovations Underway For New Wood-n-Tap Farmington Location
The move to the former Apricots Restaurant site on Route 4 is expected in late spring.

FARMINGTON, CT — As excitement builds from the announcement that the Wood-n-Tap bar and grill chain will soon be opening its 10th location in Enfield, renovation work continues on a Route 4 building which will soon be the new home for the restaurant in Farmington.
Work is progressing on the former Apricots Restaurant building, located on the banks of the Farmington River across from Farmington High School. The new site is expected to be ready by late spring, said Jennifer Lamantini, Director of Guest Services.
The current Wood-n-Tap in Farmington, just over a mile away at 1274 Farmington Avenue, opened in 2004. In addition to the pending location in Enfield, other Connecticut venues are in Hartford, Southington, Rocky Hill, Vernon, Newington, Wallingford, Hamden and Orange.

Apricots, which operated since 1983, closed abruptly in Oct. 2017. Initially, the owners placed a sign in the window that read, "Closed till further notice," and told media the closure was for "renovations and re-branding." The front door was locked with a chain at that time.
An auction of restaurant equipment, fixtures and memorabilia was conducted in March 2018, after Hartford Restaurant Group came forward and paid more than $5,800 in outstanding taxes, despite not yet owning the property.
