Republican Candidates Selected in Farmington

Party members met on Wednesday to decide who will be running in the fall.

On Wednesday, the Republicans gathered to decide who will be running in the fall, reports the Hartford Courant.

Town Council Chairwoman Nancy Nickerson was selected to run again and will be joined on the council ticket by incumbents Peter Mastrobattista, Jon Landry, Meredith Trimble, and newcomer Gary Palumbo. Councilman Jeffrey Apuzzo will not seek re-election.

Mark Blore, Christine Arnold, and Mechael Hamilton were selected as candidates for four-year seats on the Board of Education and incumbent Christopher Fagan was selected as the candidate for a two-year term.

The school board terms of current board members Paula O’Brien, William Baker, Ellen Suita, and William Beckert expire in 2018.
