Segment of Busy Roadway In Farmington Closed Due to Accident

The road was closed for several hours, according to police.

FARMINGTON, CT — A segment of Route 6 was closed Wednesday afternoon due to an accident, according to Farmington police.

Colt Highway was closed between Fienemann Road and the Route 10 cutover at the Exxon gas station following a collision between a pickup truck and a minivan. Five people, including three children, were hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries, police said.

The roadway was reopened around 4:30 p.m., police said.
