Tunxis Offers Late-Start and Accelerated Online Classes

The 7- and 12-week online sessions begin Feb. 5 and March 23.

Tunxis Community College will offer late-start courses this spring in accelerated 7- and 12-week online sessions which begin Feb. 5 and March 23.

Designed to shorten the length of time to finish a degree, accelerated classes include the same amount of course work as a 15-week semester course, condensed into fewer sessions.

Some of the open courses at Tunxis include Accounting, African American literature, American government, Art History I & II, Intro to Business, Intro to Criminal Justice, Intro to Software Applications, English composition, Interpersonal Communication, U.S. History I & II, Statistics, Macroeconomics, Nutrition, Principles of Management, General Psychology, and Spanish. Tunxis offers more than 70 associate degrees and certificates that prepare students for transfer to four-year degrees and transition into the workforce with such programs as accelerated business option, biology, data science, energy management, English, engineering, paralegal studies, and psychology.

Financial aid and payment plans are available for full- and part-time credit students who qualify, and eligible students can utilize veterans benefits.
