UConn Health Seeking Participants For Filtered Cigar Study
UConn Health is seeking volunteers for a research study.

FARMINGTON, CT — UConn Health is seeking volunteers for a research study examining the effects of flavors on smoking filtered cigars in young adults.
Eligibility criteria include:
- Those who are 18 to 34 years old
- Those who currently smoke both cigarettes and little cigars or cigarillos
- Those who do not intend to quit within the next three-to-four weeks
- Those who own a cell phone with a data plan
Those taking part in the study, you will be asked to:

- Attend four sessions at UConn Health
- Answer brief surveys on an app every day for three weeks
- Smoke filtered cigars provided by the study (for free) in place of the usual brand for about two weeks
Participants may receive up to $300 in financial compensation.
