​American Cladding Technologies Hosts Grand Opening Event

From American Cladding: American Cladding Technologies will host a grand opening and ribbon cutting event on Wednesday, May 17 at 5:30 p.m. at its new facility located at 15 International Drive in East Granby, Conn. The event will include tours of the facility, hors d’oeuvres, wine and beer, and a chance to win one of three iPad Minis for those who register in advance.

The new 20,000-square foot facility enables American Cladding Technologies to expand its laser cladding services and increase its capacity and staff. Laser cladding – also known as laser metal deposition – uses lasers to deposit powdered metal onto the surface of metal items to provide a wear- or corrosion- resistant coating. Laser cladding extends the life of equipment and is also used to repair and restore damaged equipment. The process has great adaptability and applications across many industries.

American Cladding Technologies was previously a division of Joining Technologies Inc., also located in East Granby. In February 2017, it became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Joining Technologies to enable the company to grow and continue to bring pioneering technical advances to the field of laser cladding.

Guests who register for the grand opening in advance at www.americancladding.com/grand will be entered in a drawing for a chance to win one of three iPad Minis. Guests attending the event can also win a full-day session at the company’s applications laboratory, valued at $3,000. The applications lab day will enable the winner to consult with American Cladding’s experts while on site, and assist in the development of the laser metal deposition process for their specific applications.
