Dog Alerts Man In Granby Fire

A dog barking may have saved a man in a Granby fire over the weekend.

GRANBY, CT — A home was completely destroyed in a Granby fire early Sunday morning, according to FOX 61. A barking dog alerted the lone occupant of 103 Silkey Road to the emergency around 3 a.m.

Firefighters arrived to find the heavy fire pushing through two exterior walls. Forty firefighters from numerous surrounding town responded to the blaze, FOX 61 reported.

No injuries were reported.
