East Granby First Selectman Jim Hayden Greeted President Obama
Hayden also attended the president's speech at the University of Hartford.

When President Obama came to Connecticut to speak about gun control at the University of Hartford on Monday, he landed at the Connecticut Air National Guard Base in East Granby.
East Granby First Selectman Jim Hayden was among the "greeters" who welcomed Air Force One and the president.
In addition to Hayden, the greeters included Major Gen. Thaddeus J. Martin, adjutant general for the Connecticut National Guard, Gov. Dannel P. Malloy, U.S. Sen. Richard Blumenthal, U.S. Rep. Elizabeth Esty, U.S. Rep. Joe Courtney, U.S. Rep. Jim Himes, Mayor Pedro Segarra of Hartford and Mayor Scott Slifka from West Hartford.
"I had an opportunity to speak to the President and welcome him to East Granby," Hayden said. "As a greeter, I was also invited to the event at the University of Hartford."
