East Granby Obituary: Maxton Johnson, infant

"Those we have held in our arms for a little while, we hold in our hearts forever.”

The exciting news of pregnancy turned into heartfelt loss when Maxton (Max) Jude Johnson passed away peacefully on March 30, 2018. His parents Matthew Johnson and Megan Downey of East Granby mourn this unexpected loss along with their son and Max’s older brother, Mason.

Max is survived by his maternal grandparents, April Downey of Brookfield, Massachusetts and Jude (Jae) Downey of Higganum, and his paternal grandparents Paul (Sr.) and Robin Johnson of North Canton; great grandparents Joseph and Margaret Downey of Rocky Hill, Alice George of Eel River Bar, New Brunswick, Canada and Geraldine Kilman of Springfield, Massachusetts. He is also survived by his uncles Michael (Henry) Downey of Cromwell and Paul (Jr.) Johnson of Barkhamsted, his wife Sarah Johnson and their daughter and Max’s cousin, Kailee. He will be held in the hearts of countless other friends and family members. He is predeceased by his uncle Jeffrey Johnson and great grandparents Robert and Anna Johnson and Robert Kilman.

A private graveside service will be held in North Canton Methodist Cemetery.
