East Granby woman with MS runs half marathon

Kim Lowman of East Granby is not defined by her disability. Diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2011, she chose to rise up and push through the challenges life gave her. A few years later, Kim had a son born with autism and she was again challenged with how the label of “disabled” would have an impact.

Instead of feeling defeated, Kim is motivated and will compete in the Eversource Hartford Half Marathon on October 12 to help break the mold of the "disability" label.

Kim Lowman has been named to the Hartford Marathon Foundation’s 2019 Aiello Inspiration Team, a group of runners with incredible reasons for participating in the annual Eversource Hartford Marathon and Half Marathon this fall.
