Foxfield F.A.R.M. Award - CT NOW/Hartford Courant

Foxfield F.A.R.M. (For a Recovery Mission) is a non-profit groundwork equine therapy program for Veterans and First Responders with PTSD and related mental issues. It also incorporates the use of rescued/retired polo ponies in its curriculum. It's holistic approach supports the participants objective in gaining self esteem and restoring confidence rather than the sole use of clinical therapy and risks associated with the ever increasing use of opioids and self medication. Equine therapy breaks the cycle of depression and restores a better quality of life.
