Granby Coach Elected to CT Field Hockey Hall of Fame
She and eight other individuals will be inducted into the Hall of Fame on Sunday, Sept. 16.

GRANBY, CT — A former field hockey standout from Granby Memorial High School who has gone on to lead the Bears to six state championships as a coach will join eight other honorees as members of the Class of 2018 of the Connecticut Field Hockey Hall of Fame.
Sandy Wickman Mason, who played under legendary head coach Dot Johnson at Granby before excelling as a player at Connecticut College, is being inducted as a high school coach. Since taking over as head coach in 2003, Mason has directed the Bears to six Class S state titles, including a three-year run from 2009 to 2011. In 2012, she received the Connecticut High School Coaches Association Coach of the Year Award and the Doc McInerney Coach of the Year Award from the Connecticut Sports Writers' Alliance.
