While peanut butter and macaroni and cheese may be food pantry donation staples, local families need a more varied assortment of items.Â
This week, the Granby Food Bank, run by the Farmington Valley Visiting Nurses Association, say it is looking for: sugar, coffee, laundry detergent, canned meats and pastas, juice, cookies, and crackers. Donations may be brought to 248 Salmon Brook St. (Routes 10/202) Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
In East Granby, the food pantry is in need of cereal, pasta, spaghetti sauce and juice.Â
