Granby, East Granby Rank Well on CT Mag's 'Rating the Towns'

Connecticut Magazine puts the town of Granby at No. 3 on a list of similar towns; East Granby is 12th.

A low crime rate. A high graduation rate. A high voter turnout rate.

These are some of the things Granby has going for it, which is why Connecticut Magazine placed the town at Number 3 on a list in its annual "Rating the Towns 2013" issue.

Compared to towns in the same category — where the median home sale price was $225,000-$299,999 — Granby falls just below Simsbury (Number 1) and Glastonbury (Number 2). Both have high-ranking economies, while Simsbury also has a lower crime rate, according to the magazine's data.

East Granby ranks 12th out of 44 towns in the category.
