Granby would have state aid cut by 11 percent; East Granby would have state aid by 8 percent under plan that Malloy released on Monday,

The bad news keeps coming for Connecticut municipalities as the state attempts to claw out from under its budget mess.

Under Gov. Dannel P. Malloy's revised, proposed adjustments to the fiscal year 2019 budget previously adopted by the legislature state municipal aid would be cut nearly $100 million - both in the education and non-education side.

For Granby, it would be a 11 percent cut from the previously approved $5.86 million to $5.22 million. For East Granby it would be an 8 percent cut from the previously approved $2.24 million to $2 million.
