Granby Maintains Position In Field Hockey Poll

The Bears again placed in the top five of the latest weekly high school coaches poll.

GRANBY, CT — For the third straight week, Staples High School captured all eight first-place votes to unanimously lead the weekly poll of Connecticut field hockey coaches.

The Wreckers have overwhelmed opponents by a 66-3 scoring margin in their initial 10 victories. Wilton and Cheshire flip-flopped positions two and three.

Granby Memorial High School held its position at fifth in the most recent balloting.

Also receiving votes: Stonington, Pomperaug, Avon.
