Granby Makes Top 10 of Initial High School Field Hockey Poll
The Bears opened the 2018 campaign with three straight shutout victories.

GRANBY, CT — Two-time defending Class L state champion Staples High School is off to a flying start, outscoring opponents 26-2 en route to four straight victories to open the season and securing the top spot in the initial poll of high school field hockey coaches.
Staples received first-place nods from six of the eight voters. Cheshire and Wilton also received top votes.
Granby Memorial High School, which opened the season with three straight shutout victories, placed sixth in the balloting.
