Granby Obituary: Judith Roberts, 72

Judith C. (Yourous) Roberts, 72, beloved wife of Donald F. Roberts for 46 years, of Granby, passed away Sunday, July 1, 2018.

Born in Hartford, daughter of the late Joseph and Minnie ( Messenger) Yourous, she was raised in Granby and graduated from Granby High School in 1965. She had been employed as a dental assistant for Dr. Smith in Bloomfield and then was employed by Emhart Corp where she met her husband Donald, marrying in 1972. She retired as a Certified Nursing Assistant at McLean’s Simsbury.

She enjoyed caring for her family, especially her husband Donald; her son David A. Roberts and his wife Gabrielle and their daughter, granddaughter Melinda A. Roberts of Suffield; daughter Julie A. Roberts and her longtime companion, David Theroux of Holyoke, MA; and a brother William Yourous and his wife June of Granby. She was predeceased by a sister Virginia Yourous.

Her family will receive friends Sunday, July 8, 2018 from 4-7 pm at the Hayes Huling & Carmon Funeral Home, 364 Salmon Brook Street, Granby. A Funeral Service will be held Monday, July 9, 2018, 11 AM at the Hayes Huling & Carmon Funeral Home followed by burial in Granby Cemetery.
