
Sandra M. (Molchan) Starkel, 68, of Enfield, formerly of Granby and Coventry beloved mother and "Nanny", passed away suddenly on Tuesday, March 20, 2018.
She was born in Hartford on October 3, 1949 loving daughter of the late George and Helen (Copeland) Molchan. Sandra was raised in Coventry, attended local schools and was a graduate of Coventry High School, Class of 1967. Prior to her retirement she was employed as an Administrative Assistant for the Granby Board of Education and the American Federal Credit Union.
Sandra is survived by her two daughters and five grandchildren; Jennifer Dutton and her husband Jonathan and their children; Mackenzie and Colin all of Suffield, and Amanda Starkel and her husband Raymond Camahort and their children; Cole, Ruby and Ellie all of Milford, MA, her sister-in-law Benita Molchan and her two nephews; Jor and Nicholas Molchan all of Massachusetts and her lifelong friend Kenneth Morgan of Coventry. In addition to her parents Sandra was predeceased by her husband Henry Starkel and her brother Jor Molchan.

Sandra will be remembered for her sense of humor, generosity, kindness and love of animals. She was a loyal and loving friend and a devoted Nanny to her grandkids who brought her laughter and happiness each and every day.
A memorial service will be celebrated on Monday, March 26, 2018 at 11 am at South United Methodist Church, 1226 Main St. Manchester. Following Sandra's memorial service friends and family are welcome to attend a reception at Adams Mill, 165 Adams Street, Manchester. There are no calling hours.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
