When and how did your business get started?
Last spring, an acquaintance who knew I was a Speech Language Pathologist asked me to provide some private speech therapy for her son. I had been considering going into private practice for some time, and her request was just the push I needed. By September, Chatterbox Early Childhood Speech ad Language Services, LLC was open for business.
Why did you choose the town you chose to start your business in?
Over the years, I have spoken with many parents about the need for convenient, local, pediatric speech therapy services, especially for those children who did not qualify for Early Intervention or who require additional services beyond what is being provided. My goal is to make it easy and convenient for families to obtain these much needed services in their own homes.
What is your business best known for?  Â
Pediatric speech and language therapy focusing in early language acquisition and speech sound production skills. Also, staff training workshops for preschools and day care centers focusing on the use of sign language to facilitate early language acquisition.
What's something interesting about your business your customers might not know?  Â
I am not only a service provider, but have also been the parent of a child receiving speech and language services -- I have experience as both a professional and a mother.
