Kayaker Found Dead On CT River
A man was found dead in the Quinebaug River on Sunday afternoon.
POMFRET, CT — A Putnam man's body was found following the discovery of his submerged kayak in the Quinebaug River, according to FOX 61. The Department of Energy & Environmental Protection responded to a report of a missing kayaker late Sunday afternoon.
Michael Lowell, 58, of Putnam was found in the river and pronounced deceased by paramedics at the scene. The DEEP reported he was not wearing a life jacket, according to FOX 61.
