Meeting Scheduled on Salmon Brook Street Sidewalk Proposal
An informational session will be held on June 17 at 7 p.m. in the Granby Town Hall Meeting Room.

A Notice from the Town of Granby
The Town of Granby has a proposed project for the installation of sidewalk on Salmon Brook Street (Route 10/US202).
The project is recommended for construction under the Surface Transportation Program administered by the Connecticut Department of Transportation. This project, if supported by the community and town officials, will be designed by the Town and it is Granby's and the State's policy to keep persons informed and involved when such projects are undertaken.
It is important that the community share its concerns to assist in the project’s development. The Town conducted an informal meeting on December 17, 2012.  The Town will conduct another informational meeting on June 17, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. in the Granby Town Hall Meeting Room, 15 North Granby Road. Â
The informational meeting will view and discuss the proposed sidewalk design. The sidewalk design will be available on maps at a scale where one can focus on the specific area where the sidewalk is anticipated to be located. The design will also show the full length of the proposed sidewalk from Stony Hill Village to Salmon Brook Park.
Based upon a preliminary assessment, the construction cost will be approximately $585,000.  It is anticipated that the local share will be 20% of the cost.
Anyone interested in obtaining further information or providing input may do so by contacting the Town Manager’s Office at 860-844-5300.
