Northeast Drone Show Slated for June 26-28

The three-day event will bring a regional focus to national and international drone issues, technology, policy and regulations.

From Unmanned Aerial Online: Unmanned Aerial Online and Zackin Publications are pleased to announce the 2017 Northeast Drone Show, a regional event putting a spotlight on the small unmanned aircraft systems sector, specifically as it applies to the northeastern U.S.

The three-day event in Springfield, Mass., will bring a regional focus to national and international drone issues: technology, policy and regulations, safe and innovative end-use, business best practices, and more.

From 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Monday, June 26, drone demonstrations and special training will be held at Springfield’s Riverfront Park, situated directly on the Connecticut River and within very close walking distance of the host hotel, the Sheraton Monarch Place.

For the next two days, the Northeast Drone Show will offer informative sessions from a variety of industry stakeholders. Topics to be covered include the following:

  • How to get involved in the Northeast drone market and beyond;
  • The prerequisites of becoming a commercial drone operator;
  • Operating unmanned aircraft systems for infrastructure inspections;
  • How to outfit a drone to suit your particular needs;
  • What drones are doing for public safety in the Northeast;
  • What to know before you take to the skies;
  • Aerial photography and videography; and
  • Niche applications in the Northeast.

In addition to the conference program, exhibitors will showcase their latest products and technologies, and industry stakeholders will have the chance to network during breakfast, morning and afternoon breaks, and lunch, which are all part of the attendee package.
