Fatal Crash Closes Part of Route 20 In East Granby [UPDATED]
A Simsbury resident was killed and two other persons were seriously injured in the collision Friday morning.

EAST GRANBY, CT — A two-vehicle crash on Route 20 westbound claimed the life of a Simsbury man and sent two others to a hospital with serious injuries, according to state police and fire officials.
The crash, which involved a car and an SUV, occurred around 5:47 a.m., and forced closure of the busy roadway, said Trooper Josue J. Dorelus of the state police media relations unit.
Lynton St. Marie, 34, of Simsbury, was the driver of a 2005 Nissan Altima which collided with a 2017 Toyota Highlander operated by Salvador Oliveras, 41, of Chicopee, Mass.

All three were transported to Hartford Hospital, where St. Marie was pronounced dead, state police said.
