Stephan Krilyno, 99

A funeral service, followed by burial with military honors, was held on Friday.

Stephan Krilyno, 99, of Granby, beloved husband of the late Frances (Brown) Krilyno, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 13, 2015 at his home. Born in Hartford to the late Stephen and Katherine (Mikutt) Krilyno, he was raised in Hartford and lived in Wilson for many years before settling in Granby over 40 years ago.

Stephan served his country proudly with the US Marine Corps during WWII, served as Captain of the Wilson Volunteer Fire Dept and ran his own company, K & P Ford Tractor in East Windsor and Goshen for many years.

In his spare time, he enjoyed taking care of his yard, gardening, and fishing. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his sister Helen Krilyno Uziemblo of South Windsor; his sister-in-law Lucille Brown of Granby; many loving nieces and nephews; and his caregivers, Jackie Pinto, Coleen Grivois, Cory Tracy, and Michelle Pagano.

Besides his wife and parents, he was predeceased by his brother Michael Krilyno and his sister Johanna Kotowicz. A funeral service will be held at 10 AM Friday, July 17 at the Hayes Huling & Carmon Funeral Home, 364 Salmon Brook St. in Granby, followed by burial with military honors in Fairview Cemetery, West Hartford. His family will receive friends on Thursday, July 16 from 4 PM to 7 PM at the funeral home.
