[Updated] Teenager Injured at Enders State Forest Has Died

Marlborough resident was airlifted to Hartford Hospital.

A 17-year-old girl who was injured Saturday while swimming in the waterfalls at Enders State Forest has died, according to the Hartford Courant.

Granby Police said in a Saturday press release that they responded, along with EMS, to a medical call around 5:30 p.m.

The teenager, who is from Marlborough, was taken by Lifestar helicopter to Hartford Hospital. The Courant said the girl, whom they reported to be 15 years old, was pronounced dead on Sunday.

After the incident, police notified the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP), which is investigating.
