Week Ahead in Granby and East Granby: Meetings, Thanksgiving Farmers Market, School Volunteer Thank-You

Schools close early Wednesday; Town offices closed toward end of the week.

It's Thanksgiving week, which means few meetings, a shortened school week and town offices closing. Hopefully, it also means some sweet moments crowded in the kitchen and around the table, as families gather together to celebrate the blessings in our lives.

The Granby Board of Finance meets Monday at 7:30 p.m. 

The Planning and Zoning meeting scheduled for Tuesday has been cancelled.

Town offices are closed Thursday and Friday.

In East Granby…

The Board of Education meets Monday at 7 p.m. and Economic Development at 7:30 p.m.

Correction: The Board of Selectman meeting, scheduled for Tuesday has been cancelled.

East Granby Public Schools will honor its volunteers and partners Monday at 6 p.m. at the Community Center.

Both towns have early school dismissal Wednesday and the day off on Thursday and Friday.  

Also, Thanksgiving will taste that much more delicious if you know the ingredients are fresh and local and that your purchase supported farmers nearby. To that end, Lost Acres Vineyard is hosting a Thanksgiving Farmers Market Monday and Tuesday from noon to 6 p.m. More info is here.
