Winter Team State Championship History: Granby, East Granby
Granby athletes have earned two state team titles in winters past, while East Granby is seeking its first winter championship.
GRANBY-EAST GRANBY, CT — As practices for Connecticut high school winter sports officially get underway Monday (girls basketball, ice hockey and wrestling) and Thursday (boys basketball, indoor track, boys swimming and girls gymnastics), hopes run high for all teams to achieve the ultimate goal: winning a league championship, and possibly a state title.
To help squads get into the championship mentality, here is a listing of the CIAC winter team titles won by Granby Memorial High School in past years (* - indicates a co-op team). East Granby is seeking its first team championship in a winter sport.
- boys ice hockey (1) - Div. II: 2015*
- boys basketball (1) - Class S: 2013
