Abilis is hiring! Abilis currently has numerous positions available and is actively looking to fill these job opportunities with community members who love what they do. Jobs available include: pediatric occupational therapist and assistant director of the Therapy Center at Abilis, program managers, counselors, Café manager, life coach and behavioral support. All positions are in Abilis Greenwich, Old Greenwich, Stamford and Norwalk locations. These openings are a great opportunity for professionals looking to make a difference in their career. “With this past year and the pandemic, the need for exceptional staff has never been higher,” said Amy Montimurro, CEO and president of Abilis. “Abilis is growing, moving into more communities in Fairfield County, like Norwalk and Darien, and expanding services and supports in our existing communities. The need for additional staff to join our team has grown as more families seek out the excellent and enriching work that our staff do on a daily basis.”

The positions at the Therapy Center at Abilis are especially unique. The Therapy Center at Abilis provides therapeutic services such as academic supports, tutoring, diagnostic evaluations, applied behavior analysis, speech/language, oral motor/feeding, occupational and physical therapy, transition skills, autism-specific interventions, as well as specialized therapies based on the needs of the individual. The need for pediatric occupational therapists and an assistant director of the Therapy Center are paramount as more families look for support for their children before school starts and the Therapy Center at Abilis accepts insurance, which allows more families to stay with the program and services they love as their family member transitions into schools.

“The Therapy Center at Abilis is a cornerstone of our services,” noted Amy Montimurro. “It provides Birth to Three and Early Intervention services and programs to help children and individuals from the start of their life to throughout their lifespan. Many of our therapists and our director have been with us for more than 20 years. They become connected to the families they serve and want to remain with us throughout their career. There is something really special about that."
