GREENWICH, CT — If you're planning on heading out to Island Beach this weekend, the ferry schedule has changed.

According to an announcement on the Town Facebook page, ferry service to the island for June 26-27 will be on the hour, every hour, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. weather permitting. In the past, it ran every half hour.

On Thursday, the Town announced that service to Great Captain Island was suspended due to a mechanical breakdown of the Islander II vessel.
