This will be the very first math program of its type in Fairfield County. "We are thrilled to have the space at UCONN to accommodate more students! The introduction of CLSC math enrichment this past spring was an instant success, so popular that classes posted on CLSC's online registration were filled within the first week" said Mrs. Lum. "Typically, students will not encounter topics covered in this program until College" said Guihua Zhu, CLSC's Academic Program Director.

Mathematical competence and analytical skills are critical to success in grade school, college, and beyond. The purpose of CLSC Greenwich-Stamford Math Circle enrichment program is to provide a stimulating environment for aspiring students who want to gain a deeper understanding of mathematics. In addition, we also prepare students for the AMC8, AMC10 and MathCounts competitions, which are nationwide math contests for middle school students. Our program values creativity and originality over drilling and memorization in the mathematical learning process.

The program who have previously coached middle school math teams direct the program. The high school students from Greenwich High School who serve as assistants during the sessions have previously achieved success in both state and national math contests. In addition, they also have experience in teaching younger students. The program is open to students in grades 6-8 along with advanced 5th graders.
