Church Collection Theft Suspect Attempts To Steal from Nun's Vehicle
Wilton Police caught the man and arrested him before he escaped.

The man accused of stealing hundreds of dollars in Sunday church collections from St. Catherine of Siena Church in Riverside has been busted for attempting to steal items from a car owned by a nun in Wilton.
Angelo Younger, 47, of North Carolina was arrested on Friday, Sept. 14 at 11:55 a.m. and charged with sixth-degree criminal trespass, sixth-degree attempted larceny, and attempted larceny from a motor vehicle, which is a felony, according to Wilton Police.

According to police, the department received a report of a man attempting to break into a vehicle parked at School Sisters of Notre Dame on Belden Hill Road in Wilton. A nun noticed what was happening—it was her vehicle—confronted the man and then contacted police.
Younger was arrested June 5 for stealing collection money from St. Catherine of Siena Church. That theft occurred in May and Greenwich detectives with information from parishioners, were able to identify Younger as a suspect and obtain an arrest warrant.

Younger was held on $2,500 bond for the Wilton charges and taken to court. Â
Meanwhile, Younger is scheduled to appear in state Superior Court in Stamford on Sept. 20 for the St. Catherine's theft case, according to the Connecticut Judicial Branch website.Â
