CT Weather: Snow May Accumulate In Parts Of State, Heavy Rain Too

A two-day strong storm will bring rain and some snow to the state. Here is a look at the timing and how much rain and snow to expect.

CONNECTICUT — Rain, rain don't go away as we need the precipitation. Connecticut is poised to see up to two inches of rain by Friday afternoon and areas far north near the Massachusetts border may see some light snow accumulation before the strong storm departs. Other parts of the state may see some snowflakes mix in at times late Thursday.

The good news is that the winds aren't expected to be a major factor with this strong storm.

The rain should taper off late Friday morning and there will be major improvement for the weekend as sunshine returns and temperatures rise into the mid to upper 50s. It will still feel a bit chilly for this time of year.
