CT Weather: Heavy Rain To Snow And Then A Major Warmup Begins
Here is an update on how much snow and rain to expect Thursday and Friday and then CT could see 60 degrees early next week.
CONNECTICUT — Between 1-2 inches of rain will fall across Connecticut beginning early Thursday afternoon and ending Friday morning as some snow with minor accumulations possible, especially for areas away from the immediate coast.
It looks like we'll have to endure two more days of miserably cold weather, Thursday and Friday, and then all of a sudden spring weather arrives for the weekend and continues into next week.
We'll experience a sudden warm-up beginning on Saturday and continuing through the next several days and on Tuesday we may see 60 degrees. Hopefully, this is the last gasp of wintry weather.

WTNH News 8 chief meteorologist Gil Simmons said "Rain moving in later this morning and plan on a soggy afternoon! ... Rain will switch to wet snow for a little while tonight and early tomorrow. Accumulation will be 0 inches up to 3 inches! It could be icy early tomorrow morning as temperatures drop and it will freeze the wet surfaces."
It appears southern Connecticut will see less than an inch of snow while northern parts of the state could see up to three inches of snow, but most areas will see around an inch or two as the precipitation ends as snow.
