GREENWICH, CT — Police said a dog died from injuries it received from another canine Saturday afternoon in Greenwich. The incident occurred after an Affenpinscher escaped from its yard, according to police.

The dog entered into a field off of Cardinal Road, near the Greenwich Country Day School, where a Labrador was off its leash, police said.

According to police, the Affenpinscher was injured by the Labrador and later died from its injuries.

Police said both dogs were vaccinated and Greenwich Animal Control will be following up regarding the incident.
