Gardening Workshop Hosted By Greenwich Conservation Commission

"Pollinator Friendly Gardening 101" will be held at the Greenwich Botanical Center.

GREENWICH, CT — The Greenwich Conservation Commission will host a workshop, entitled "Pollinator Friendly Gardening 101," on Sept. 20 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Greenwich Botanical Center.

The event will feature the following speakers:

  • JoAnn Messina - Moderator
  • Pollinator Pathway Initiative - Diane Lampert, Greenwich Botanical Center
  • Meet the Pollinators - Eli Schaffer, Greenwich Audubon
  • Forging Habitats - Steve Conaway PhD, Greenwich Land Trust
  • Make it Attractive - Ben Ceci, Landscape Architect, Troy's Nursery

"This is a FREE event for the public and will feature local experts discussing ways to enhance your garden’s health and attract pollinators," wrote Sarah (Nahabedian) Coccaro, Conservation Resource Manager, in a statement. "This workshop pairs nicely with the two rain gardens recently installed at North Mianus and Riverside Elementary Schools."
