GHS Names Class of 2021 Valedictorian, Salutatorians
The school also announced the 2021 Principal's Awards recipients.
GREENWICH, CT — With graduation fast approaching, Greenwich High School has announced their Valedictorian and Salutatorians for the class of 2021. The school also announced the recipients of the annual Principal's Awards, which are given to students for their exceptional academic achievements
According to a news release from Greenwich Public Schools on Friday, Iris Shi is the Valedictorian, and the Salutatorians are Mark Razanau and Colin Speaker.
"All of these students have worked extremely hard to obtain these honors and we are very proud to share their achievements with the rest of the community," said GHS Principal, Ralph Mayo, in a news release. "Each of these students has earned the respect and admiration of the faculty because of their ability to complete a rigorous course of study in such an exemplary manner.”

Mayo went on to say that Shi, Razanau, Speaker and the award winners "have a passion for learning and the pursuit of excellence that we expect of our entire student body."
"Our whole community should be proud of the achievements of these exceptional young adults as they move on to the next phase of their education," he said in the news release.

Graduation will take place on June 21, and Shi, Razanau and Speaker will give brief comments.
The Principal's Awards recipients for 2021 make up approximately 10% of the senior class. They are earned through outstanding academic achiecement during the course of their studies at GHS, the news release said.
