Good Samaritan Helps Stop Robbery On Greenwich Avenue: Police
Police said two men tried to forcibly take several items from a shopper on lower Greenwich Avenue, but they were interrupted by a bystander.

GREENWICH, CT ? A good Samaritan stepped in and stopped a potential robbery at a store on lower Greenwich Avenue Monday, but two suspects were able to get away, police said.
At approximately 4:30 p.m., police said a woman purchased some electronics from a store on Greenwich Avenue and two men in the store then followed her to the exit.
The two men tried to forcibly take the items, and the woman, along with a family member that was with her, fought back, police said, noting that no weapons were displayed during the confrontation.

A good Samaritan came to their aid and also tried to fend off the men, who eventually gave up and were last seen running south on Greenwich Avenue before getting into a silver sedan on Grigg Street, according to police.
The woman who made the purchases suffered minor injuries and was taken to the hospital for treatment, police said.

"The subjects were described as two Black males, tall and thin, under 30 years of age," police said in a news release. "One was wearing dark clothing and the other was wearing dark pants and a pink hooded sweatshirt."
