The Greenwich Art Society offering Portrait Workshops

The Greenwich Art Society presents a Saturday workshop series on Portrait painting with artist Eddie Nino. These Portrait Studio courses will continue to layer a strong foundation building up from the basics to more complex ideas on portraiture. During this crash course, participants will have the opportunity to focus on painting the head with acrylics going from a linear approach to a mass/color approach using their own photos from day one. This is a follow up from the previous session's graphite drawing introduction leading into addressing ideas on portrait composition, likeness, and paint quality, as well as discussing how to simplify and maximize the use of photos. Discussions on technical and frequent problems and solutions, when it comes to working with acrylic paints, will strengthen and solidify every participant's knowledge on this fun subject. Participation in previous workshops with the instructor is beneficial but not a requirement for this class. New students welcome! Class will be held in G.A.S. Studio with physical distance zones and all CDC precautions. Max. 6 students.
